Bio

Mohan Subramaniam, an independent Badminton High-Performance & Development Consultant, has worked with the Badminton World Federation (BWF), USA Badminton, Badminton New Zealand, Badminton Oceania, Badminton Asia, and Badminton Pan Am between 1999-2019.  His leadership roles for these organizations included the responsibility for elite player development, performance planning, coach education, and strategic consulting.  Mohan’s contributions to the BWF, including the continental badminton and Olympic organizations  in coach and athlete development initiatives has helped to shape the growth of badminton.

His journey which began a decade before he joined the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) in 1992 as its academy coaching staff laid the foundation for his expertise in athlete development, high-performance coaching, and strategic planning. Several of the athletes he coached have gone on to compete at BWF tournaments, including the World Championships, Olympics Games, as well as the major continental games like the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and Pan Am Games.

Today, Mohan has returned to his roots in grassroots development, working closely with the Cañada Women's Badminton Team, where he finds renewed joy in the daily training of young, passionate athletes.
