REDWOOD CITY – The No. 17 state-ranked Cañada College men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to eight games thanks to a big 8-0 win over visiting Monterey Peninsula College on Tuesday.
The Coast Conference victory moved the Colts to 3-0-3 in the Coast North standings as well as 6-1-5 overall. Cañada is 5-0-3 during the past eight game stretch.
Seven different Colts scored in Tuesday's rout over MPC, led by a pair of goals from Vittorio Micaelian. Altai Ordubadi, Josh Ramos, Diego Ruiz, Dylan Antunovich, Elijah Yee, and Vladimir Markov all scored for Cañada. Ordubadi also added three assists.
Luis Evangelista had an easy time in goal in posting the Colts' fourth shutout of the season.
Cañada will look to keep the momentum going next Tuesday (Oct. 21) when the Colts travel to City College of San Francisco for a Coast Conference North Division game.
